Tommy Reamon Jr. is a nationally recognized sports media professional, talent evaluator, and community leader whose career bridges athletics, media, entrepreneurship, and youth development. With experience spanning collegiate football, professional scouting, national media, and brand leadership, Reamon brings a rare, inside-out perspective on performance, leadership, and opportunity.

A former nationally ranked quarterback, Reamon played collegiately at Old Dominion University before transitioning into coaching and personnel roles at the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, the University of Miami, and Norfolk State University, where he worked directly under Michael Vick. He later served as an NFL scout with the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers, gaining first-hand experience in elite evaluation, decision-making, and organizational leadership at the highest level of the sport.

Reamon is currently a High School Recruiting Analyst for Sports Illustrated, covering player evaluation, recruiting strategy, and athlete development. In addition to his national media work, he serves as a Regional Scout with Pylon 7v7, evaluating emerging talent and helping identify prospects on one of the sport’s most visible grassroots exposure platforms. His insight is trusted by athletes, families, coaches, and media professionals for its clarity, credibility, and real-world perspective on the recruiting and development process.

Beyond sports media, Reamon is the Founder and CEO of City On My Chest, a nationally recognized apparel and community brand. The brand has received multiple community and business awards, formal recognition from mayors and municipal leaders across Virginia, and features in regional and national media for its impact-driven mission. Through its nonprofit arm, the Uplift Your City Foundation, Reamon leads initiatives focused on youth mentorship, leadership development, education, and community engagement.

Reamon is a sought-after speaker and consultant, addressing topics including leadership, personal branding, NIL education, athlete development, entrepreneurship, resilience, and building platforms with purpose. His work is grounded in lived experience — from locker rooms and NFL scouting meetings to boardrooms, classrooms, and community stages.

Built on Legacy

This work is deeply personal.

My father passed away on May 22, 2025, but his legacy spans more than four decades and thousands of lives. He was not only a coach and mentor — he was a standard bearer for excellence, discipline, and opportunity.

Before impacting generations as a coach, he was an elite player in his own right. A High School All-American at Carver High School, he continued his career at Fort Scott Community College, where he became a Junior College All-American, National Champion, and Hall of Famer. His success carried into the professional ranks as a 1974 Pittsburgh Steelers draftee, followed by a standout career in the World Football League, where he led the league in rushing and earned League MVP honors. He also played professionally with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Yet his greatest impact came after his playing days.

Over a 40-year coaching and mentorship career, he served as an assistant coach at Menchville High School and later as a head coach at Manor, Ferguson, Warwick, Gloucester, Landstown, and Denbigh High Schools, all in Virginia. Across these programs, he helped guide thousands of young men to college opportunities, many of them navigating challenges far beyond football. He believed the game was a vehicle — not the destination — and that education, accountability, and character mattered most.

He was widely respected for his ability to see potential early and develop it the right way. That reputation led him to mentor and influence figures such as Michael Vick, Aaron Brooks, and Mike Tomlin, long before their success was fully realized. He poured into people without concern for credit, status, or spotlight.

In recognition of his impact both on and off the field, he was inducted into the Lower Virginia Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame, the Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame, and the VIA Heritage Association Hall of Fame, and was later nominated for the National High School Football Hall of Fame. These honors reflect not only his achievements, but the enduring influence he had on generations of student-athletes.

The principles that guide my work today were shaped by watching him lead: integrity in evaluation, consistency in standards, and a commitment to long-term development.

This platform exists to continue that legacy — providing clarity, truth, and direction in a space that often lacks all three. Every evaluation, every conversation, and every family guided forward is done with that foundation in mind.
